Bear Cubs

Bear Cubs Overview:

Young children are innately curious and have a natural capacity to play and imagine, wonder and explore, make new friends, and enjoy new experiences. Bear cubs are encouraged to express themselves creatively, thereby strengthening their intellect as well as building social skills. Our programme introduces language, math, science and social skills in a logical, natural sequence to encourage learning one step at a time. Our teachers also provide plenty of individual attention to support your child’s unique needs.

Features:

  • Our programme incorporates stimulating learning activities, designed to benefit your child’s development at this level
  • Your child will continue learning with vocabulary, letters and words; this stimulated through reading, singing and talking throughout the day
  • Children develop their large motor skills, such as running, jumping, throwing and kicking. They also practice coordination skills needed for writing, drawing, cutting and other activities
  • Children explore basic science concepts using simple materials and experiments. They predict outcomes, discuss results and explore concepts, such as cause and effect, using many varied materials including water, sand and seeds
  • Children are encouraged to give reasons for their choices and to argue logically

A Day in the Life of a Bear Cub:

Our programme provides a rich environment, where children are encouraged to explore and are challenged to learn, while making friends and developing self-confidence. They strengthen their cognitive skills with fun memory games where they match objects that share similar characteristics. Because they learn by doing, we provide opportunities for hands-on experience, such as creating collages, which combines creative expression with a tactile experience. Your child will always have something to do—learning areas focus on dramatic play, creative arts, language development and sensory exploration.
